We are only 2km from Omakau on a sealed road and a welcome sight after a long bike ride. Built in 1937 the Art Deco outside has been kept and where possible retained in the alterations inside.
Guests can look forward to a warm welcome from owners John and Debbie Knapp and comfortable accommodation. We have a large 100 square metre deck just off the dining room so meals can be enjoyed both inside or out. Also lovely for just enjoying a drink after a day on the bike or driving through district.
Country Bistro meals are available in the evening and light bar meals during the day, children’s menu available as well. Courtesy coach available.
The historic Ophir township has a charming collection of stone buildings from the goldmining days, as well as picturesque gardens and a working post office operated by The Historic Places Trust daily between 9.00 am and noon.
If your time allows there are short trips to various places close by worthy of visiting and for larger groups our van could be available.
